Meet Hazel:

Hazel joined the Sugar River Animal Hospital team in July 2023 and has been a dedicated part of our client care team ever since. Though she works remotely, Hazel plays a vital role in making sure pet parents receive the help and support they need from the moment they call.

Hazel’s love for animals started early—growing up on a small farm and always surrounded by dogs helped shape her interest in veterinary care. Before joining Sugar River Animal Hospital, she briefly worked as a veterinary receptionist, where she assisted clients, answered phones, and supported the veterinary team. Since joining Sugar River, Hazel has continued to grow in her role, assisting clients with appointment scheduling and answering questions with warmth and professionalism.

Originally born in Libya and raised in the Philippines, Hazel has experienced a wide variety of cultures and communities, which gives her a unique and compassionate perspective when working with clients. At home, she shares her life with two beloved dogs—Gypsy, a sweet Dachshund mix, and Basha, a loyal Belgian Malinois. She also fondly remembers her first rescue, a pit bull named Chobi.

Outside of work, Hazel enjoys quiet days at home with her dogs, hiking local trails, taking long scenic drives, and relaxing by the beach while listening to the waves. Her calm nature and deep love for animals shine through in every interaction.

Hazel is proud to be part of the Sugar River Animal Hospital team in Grantham, NH, where compassion, learning, and client service go hand-in-hand. She takes pride in helping reduce the workload for her teammates and ensuring every client feels heard and cared for. Whether she’s assisting over the phone or coordinating care behind the scenes, Hazel is committed to making a difference for the pets and people we serve.
