Certified Veterinary Technician / Head Tech
Kate has an eclectic education starting with a BA in English and an MA in Literature. After several years in corporate America working for various publishing houses, she quit her job and went back to school while working nights in a 24 hr Emergency Referral Animal Hospital in Indiana. After 6 years, she finished an AAS in Veterinary Science and passed her VTNE board exam in 2007. She is excited to be back in vet medicine after a hiatus spent raising her two-legged children to elementary school age. Kate has special interests in dentistry, canine training, canine reproduction, and physical therapy/rehabilitation.
In her spare time, she can be found roaming the foothills with an assortment of collies, showing her dogs in most AKC sports and driving the mom taxi to and from every soccer, baseball or dance event this side of Concord. She is supported in all her endeavors by her husband, two children, two cats, all the Gateside collies and a small flock of chickens.
