Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Maddison Clark, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Sugar River Animal Hospital. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, horseback riding, going on adventures with my partner and pets, listening to country music, and watching sunrises and sunsets.
Ryker is my almost 3-year-old lab, my sweet baby boy, and my financial burden. Millie is my sweet but crazy kitten, whom I adopted from a rescue. Sam is my Bernese mountain dog puppy, and Sunny is my cockatiel.
Education
I earned my high school diploma from Springfield High School in 2023. From 2019 to 2023, I also studied Carpentry and Building Construction Trades at River Valley Technical Center, where I earned a Career and Technical Education credential. I also hold an OSHA 10 certification.
Work History
Since 2019, I have owned and operated Maddison's Pet Sitting Services, an independent business providing in-home pet care, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and specialized care. I handle client consultations, daily care routines, and pets' health and behavior needs, and I keep in close contact with pet owners.
From May 2021 to June 2022, I worked as a kennel worker at Willow Farm Pet Services. There, I provided daily care, feeding, and exercise for boarded pets, kept their living spaces clean and safe, and monitored their behavior and health.
Since August 2022, I have worked part-time as a Customer Service and Specialty Pet Care Associate at Claremont Pet & Aquarium Center. I help customers with pet care products, water testing, and husbandry needs, and I specialize in the care, feeding, habitat maintenance, and customer education for reptiles, birds, and freshwater and saltwater aquatic life.
